WOSSOM Blog – We’re Back!
1 – We are Back!
Tati: "After a short break where Mr. Franco, our beloved producer, attempted to tighten that rogue bolt in his head, we are officially BACK. Now, a bit of serious news, our friend Rafael is battling chronic pain and expecting another surgery soon. There might be some delays, but don’t worry—we’ll keep you in the loop. Rafael also asked us to send a big thank you for all your kind messages."
Benny: "Yo, much love to Rafael, y’all. Stay strong, brother."
Tati: "Right then, moving on—those of you with a... certain taste in automotive television will know this whole ‘WOSSOM’ endeavor is a cheeky homage to that show with a producer named Mr. Wilman. As it happens, that’s also the reason we’ve renamed our own producer to Mr. Franco, on his insistence."
Rusty: "I’m tellin’ ya, Benny. This whole ‘Mr. Franco’ thing is just his way of feelin’ important. Pretty sure he even prints that on his coffee mugs now."
Benny: "Aww, nah, I bet he got himself a t-shirt too."
Tati: "Probably embroidered. Moving swiftly along..."
2 – Drag Race Incoming!
Benny: "Alright, folks, mark your calendars—October 22nd, 11:00 AM GMT. The first drag race showdown is about to go DOWN!"
Tati: "Initially, we planned to host the event at West Coast, San Francisco, on BeamNG, but the latest game update threw a spanner in the works. No worries—we’re moving the race to the Bradenton Motorsports Park, a mod track made by Kimmykix. Go show him some love. Mr. Franco, in his infinite wisdom, will drive each car twice, and the fastest run counts."
Rusty: "An’ here’s the kicker—companies are riskin’ their REP in these races. Score higher, get boosted reputation. Fall behind, an’ you’ll hafta work harder to climb back up. Keeps it all fair, y’know? No runaway winners or losers."
Benny: "Just gotta hope Mr. Franco don’t botch the starts... again."
3 – Meet the Drag Race Contenders
The Eleven Drag Cars, Ranked by Power-to-Weight Ratio
Rusty: "Alright, let’s roll through the line-up from slowest to fastest. An’ remember—relatively slow. These are all beasts in their own right."
11 – Caragiale Salonul Fericit Performance
Tati: "This Romanian sedan comes with a 2.1-liter Inline-4, pushing 54 horsepower, and it weighs 1121 kilos. It’s... trying.
"Benny: "That’s like showin’ up to a street fight with a nerf gun. Respect the hustle, though."
10 – A.G. l’Avance 14CV Drag
Tati: "Sporting a 2.1-liter Inline-6 with 71 horsepower, and tipping the scales at 919 kilos. Designer Machalel wasn’t aiming to dominate, and well... it shows.
"Rusty: "Like racin’ in flip-flops—yeah, you’ll get there, just real slow."
9 – Pioneer Premier 440
Rusty: "3.0 liters of Inline-6 fury, with 115 horses and weighin’ just 954 kilos. A solid contender.
"Benny: "Feels like that dude at the gym who ain’t ripped, but still benches 300. Sleeper potential."
8 – Vires Motor Company Coureur DragPack
Tati: "This entry comes with a 5.5-liter V8 producing 133 horsepower. Weighs 1095 kilograms. A classic muscle style but lacking in raw aggression.
"Rusty: "Looks like a muscle car—drives like a golf cart."
7 – Accurate Aquila Veloce Drag Edition
Tati: "This beast runs a 2.2-liter Boxer-4, delivering 82 HP to the wheels, and weighs 660 kilos. I’ll give them credit—light and nimble.
"Benny: "A Boxer engine at the drag strip? That’s a bold move, Cotton."
6 – Regal Aviator Dragon
Rusty: "This one’s packin' a 3.8-liter V8 with 118 horses under the hood, weighin’ 747 kilos. Dragon in name—bit more lizard in practice.
"Benny: "A V8, huh? It’s like goin’ to war with a sword when everybody else got machine guns."
5 – Phaeton TC
Tati: "2.7 liters of Inline-6, making 177 horsepower. It weighs 1084 kilos—respectable numbers for a non-supercar.
"Rusty: "This thing’s tryin' hard not to be fun, but I see potential."
4 – Wulsen Boar 2110 Drag Config
Benny: "This prototype from Wulsen is rockin’ 217 HP from a 2.4-liter Inline-6. Weighs 753 kilos. They said they’re thinkin’ ‘bout makin' it a street car.
"Rusty: "I say, keep the crazy. Don't water it down!
"Tati: "Indeed, keep that edge. It’s what makes it stand out."
Top 3 Predictions – The Contenders for Victory
Tati’s Pick – DCMW Jawad Twelve Dragster
Tati: "I’m backing the DCMW Jawad Twelve Dragster. 497 horsepower from a 3.5-liter V12 and 1329 kilograms of brute force. This thing is pure villain energy—like Batman and Mad Max decided to make a car together. It’s powerful, aggressive, and ready to take the win."
Rusty: "Sure, it’s got power, but it’s heavy. That V12 ain’t gonna save it when it’s tryin’ to haul all that weight down the strip.
"Benny: "Yeah, and you know Mr. Franco’s gonna mess up the launch at least once. I can’t see it pullin’ off the win."
Rusty’s Pick – Truffle Motors Mako Red Runner
Rusty: "This one’s got my heart—the Mako Red Runner. 254 horsepower from a 7.0-liter V16, and yeah, it’s heavy at 2232 kilos, but it’s got enough torque to pull a freight train. This thing is a monster. It’s gonna win, no question."
Tati: "It’s so heavy, Rusty. You’ll be lucky if it doesn’t bury itself in the tarmac at the start line.
"Benny: "Man, that V16 sounds good, but it ain’t built for quick wins. It’s like tryin’ to drag race with a tank."
Benny’s Pick – Catelletto Tipo 48
Benny: "Both of y’all sleepin' on the Catelletto Tipo 48. 387 horsepower from a 5.2-liter V12 and only 907 kilos. That’s a near-perfect power-to-weight ratio. This car is fast, light, and dangerous—ready to take the crown."
Tati: "Italian engineering is beautiful... when it works. I’m just saying, Benny—there’s a chance it’ll fall apart halfway down the track.
"Rusty: "Fast, yeah, but it’s still missin’ that raw punch. I don’t think it’ll outpull my Mako."
4 – Ingenious Design: The Exhibition Car
Tati: "Ah, yes. One of our entrants tried to sneak in some clever engineering—borderline genius, really. Unfortunately, the rules said ‘nope.’ But we’ll show it off as an exhibition car."
Benny: "Think it coulda smoked everybody, though?"
Rusty: "Probably. Clever folks always find a way to squeeze out every last bit of speed."
5 – Alberre Guille: Late to the Party but Still Racing
Benny: "We got a new player! Welcome Alberre Guille with their l’Avance. Clean, slick French lines and already gettin’ in the mix with a drag version—mad respect to Machalel."
Tati: "He even admitted he missed the submission deadline but still rolled out the drag variant just to compete."Rusty: "I like the attitude—'Don’t matter if I’m late, I’m still racin'.’ That’s how you do it."
6 – Speed Record Mayhem: Did We See What We Think We Saw?
Tati: "And before we go, some of our speed record hopefuls have already arrived. We’ve also had the police ringing us about a pair of cars tearing up Johnson Valley."
Rusty: "I told ‘em I ain’t seen nothin’."
Benny: "That Mako Speedster? Got a dang plane fin on it! 300% more stable—y’all wild."
Tati: "We’ll save the rest of the gossip for race day. Until then, enjoy the calm before the storm."
7 – A Quick Note
Tati: "Depending on how these early competitions go, we might adjust the quality bonus rules to keep things fair and fun for everyone. As always, stay tuned for updates."
